Hey everyone, things are going really well, but blogging has not been the highest priority.  Imogen is doing really well, gaining tummy time, eating a LOT, eyes open, but still head bobbing, and not sleeping perfectly.

So, some pics.

Introducing Imogen

On Thursday August 19th, at 7:38 AM, Imogen Grace Wettlaufer was born at Evergreen hospital in Kirkland WA.  She was 19.5” and 7lbs 5 oz.

The suspense had been building for almost 9 months about if it would be a boy or a girl.  We chose to not find out, and enjoyed everyone taking their opinions to new lengths. Using science, genealogy, political, astrological, dietary and even sporting references, it was fun to hear (and plan) for the options that would arrive.  Gav and Dad thought it would be a girl, as did a bunch of other friends and family.  Mom though was convinced it was going to be a boy.  To be honest, Gav flip flopped, but stuck to girl for the most part.

Gav was definitely excited to see her come home, but he was even more excited to see what she brought him.  A shiny new bike.  So, right off the bat, she was ok in his books.  So far its been great, seeing Gav getting to know Imogen with all of us.  GP and El came down to celebrate on the day, and then El stayed for several days to help keep the roof above us – THANK YOU – When are you coming back? 🙂

Anyways, we could not be more happy.  Imogen is home, healthy, and definitely fitting in to the Wettlaufer / Elliott family.  Gav has enjoyed showing her off to his teachers, school chums and anyone else that will listen:.  “I’m a BIG BROTHER!!!”

Now its all about getting some routine down, sorting out the feeding and getting the paper work sorted out.  Like Nexus 🙂  Oh and some sleep………

Many more pics and vids to come, here are a few early of her first few days…………………

Trip to the Flight Museum

Hey there, we took Gav to the musem of Flight a few weeks ago.  Little did we know, but but it was where the Blue Angels take off from for the local air show.  So, we got to see the pilots arrive, as well as their F16 jets getting fueled.  It was awesome…………..

We were sitting by the coffee shoppe, and all of a sudden a proper motorcade pulled in. It was the Blue Angel pilots arriving.  Very cool.  They were so good pausing and saying good morning to Gav, he was truly taken by seeing them in their uniforms.
